The FREE Websites provides subscription-based web design and hosting services to small businesses across the UK and worldwide. We are based in Ashford, Kent, United Kingdom.

2. Our Service

We design, build, host and maintain websites for clients on a monthly subscription basis. Our process:

• You submit an enquiry and we discuss your requirements
• You choose a subscription plan and pay your first month via Stripe
• We design and build your website
• We build your site within 48 hours of payment (Starter, Basic) or 2–5 days (Core, Premium, Custom)
• If the finished site doesn't meet your expectations, you have 7 days from go-live to request a full refund of your first month

3. Subscription and Payment

• Subscriptions are billed monthly, starting from the go-live date
• There is no setup fee on any plan
• Prices are as published on our website at the time of sign-up
• We will provide at least 30 days notice of any price changes
• Payment is taken automatically each month via your chosen payment method
• Failed payments will result in a grace period before service suspension

4. What's Included

Your monthly subscription includes design, hosting, SSL certificate, technical maintenance and support as outlined in your chosen plan. The professional email add-on (£5/month) is optional and available on all plans.

5. Cancellation

• You may cancel at any time by giving 30 days written notice to info@thefreewebsites.co.uk
• There are no cancellation fees or penalties
• Your site will remain live until the end of your notice period
• We will provide a full export of your content upon request before cancellation
• After the notice period, your site will be taken offline and removed from our servers

6. Content Ownership

• All content you provide (text, images, logos) remains your property
• Your domain name is registered in your name and belongs to you
• Website design and code created by us is licensed to you for use while your subscription is active
• Upon cancellation, you are entitled to a full content export

7. Your Responsibilities

• Providing accurate business information for us to build your site
• Ensuring content you provide does not infringe third-party rights
• Keeping your contact and payment details up to date
• Not using your website for illegal purposes

8. Changes and Updates

Included in your subscription: text changes, photo updates, pricing updates, opening hours, and minor new sections. Large structural changes or additional pages may be quoted separately.

9. Liability

We will make reasonable efforts to keep your website live and performant. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party service outages (hosting providers, DNS, payment processors). Our total liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid in the 3 months prior to any claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
